This is the armor worn by the titular character in my upcoming novel. It's taken about six months to take the character's image from my mind, to a 2D artist, to a 3D artist (that artist only handled the armor), then back to me, where I had the pleasure of piecing it all together!

My studios (Laughing Matter Studios/LMStudios) is finally wrapping up our game of catch-up. WHile Table Manners was in production, our resources were all diverted away from the Table manners comic. Rest assured, we have things just about where they should be! Here's to more comics!
Dark Matter: Code Red was published January 9th, 2018. The original cover art was a very detailed image of the planet Managarus and it's two moons, and while the cover was very nice, it did not give off the science fiction vibe I had wanted. Thanks to modern technology, I have been building a library of CGI Dark Matter characters and have since constructed a much more interesting Dark Matter cover. If you own the Kindle edition of the novel, I ask for your patience as you will soon receive the updated version automatically (unless auto-updates are disabled on your device; you'll need to manually update the novel). I have been very vocal about a re-release for Dark Matter: Code Red and Dark Matter Rises. This is not that. This is merely an update to a book (Rises will be getting a similar treatment within a couple of weeks). The re-releases will be different in that they will feature even more illustrated covers and extra content, including a short story after each novel. Follow the story of a young man shot into the action he fought to avoid. Collin Williams is a high-power mutant that was exiled to Earth two years ago. When a newly-discovered sibling is being crowned queen of Monarchus, he is thrown back into the cosmos. The Industry, an evil organization bent on stealing Collin's dark matter powers, is ready. They've prepared for war. Now, they test the Alliance. Collin has been restricted from utilizing his dark matter powers for two years. Will he be able to tap back into these powers and save the universe? "Old Hope Island is under siege from the giant worms! It's up to you to help Leighton find a way to save the island before Richard obliterates it with a nuclear missile! Fortunately, Taylor will be there to order...we mean guide you through so that Old Hope Island can return to being a vacation paradise! With dozens of side quests and a fun story, all combined with retro art, music, and sounds, you're in for hours of fun!" The release will drop within the next week. Laughing Matter Studios (LMStudios) is working on finalizing everything for it's release, so there's marketing and merchandise now. I've been planning out the release party, so I haven't exactly had downtime. Speaking of which, the release party will be virtual! While I personally would prefer an in-person event, keeping things virtual will allow anyone, regardless of location, to join in. Now, this event will be full of cool stuff. Obviously, we'll be showcasing the game, but I'll be doing Q&A for both the game and general LMStudios questions. I'll also be doing a few giveaways with the new Table Manners gear. I'll release more details on the event as we get a bit closer. Again, the release date for Table Manners: Worm-Cation should drop within the next week; we are simply trying to get everything set in stone before doing so. Thanks for being awesome, folks! Have a great rest of your week! |
