I always loved this color of blue, though as much science as I study, I don't know if this color star is out there. I also love the title on this one.

I love playing with volumetrics. This just came out creepy in a way, but I absolutely love it. Who knows what could be lurking in the cloud?
Messing with volumetrics can suck, but it can also be loads of fun...if your GPU doesn't die. Fortunately, my system loves me enough and I was able to get this thing "pieced" together finally. Get it? Pieced? 'Cause it's an art piece? Nothing? Tough crowd!
This one was a challenge. For one: I've got very little practice with ground shots. For another, I never have people in my main art pieces. Nevertheless, this piece isn't too bad. I see a few things I should have done differently, but I won't change them. Instead, I'll make another piece. That's how you learn!
Man, this turned out nothing like I imagined it would. The rift was originally going to be a mirrored blade stretching through space, but I just couldn't get the reflection to work right. So, I through a remesh and subsurf modifier at it and it did that...whatever. We're treating it as an opening to a parallel universe or something.
Dark Matter III released last Wednesday (there's a price increase coming next week due to increased fees, so get it now!) but that doesn't mean the flow stops. Here's my latest piece: "Flyby."
Tomorrow, my third novel drops. I've been so busy working on prepping the book, I haven't had enough time devoted to my art. So, as a consequence, I released last week's art piece yesterday. Today, I release to you "Looming Fate." Now that a piece is out for both last week and this week, I can take a momentarily rest.
