Okay, seriously, I went through nearly all of 2017 without any art coming out or even any news posts. Sorry about that. I had to be focused on Dark Matter: Code Red and the rest of the Dark Matter Universe. By the way, everything launched this past month. Sure, there were a few bumps in the road, but otherwise, it launched rather smoothly. Obviously, I can't handle running an entire franchise on my own. So, who remembers Taylor Wayne Productions that launched in 2013? Yeah, forget that. Please. Please, for the love of all that is holy, forget that part. So, I started up a new company (for those who didn't know, TWP was sold, most projects were archived, and the company essentially died out). Team Dark Matter is literally everything TWP was, except, now I'm the sole owner. Not doing another partnership. Currently, TDM owns the Dark Matter Universe franchise, as well as EVERY production that ended up being archived from TWP. What does this mean for my new company? I'll tell you this: things are about to get good. Seriously, this is a big post. I have to make up for all the empty news from last year. Why did I bring up TWP? Who remembers our main production? Table Manners? I hope everyone does. If not, check out TDM's Official Website and navigate to it. You'll be excited. The original 2013 run can be found there. Table Manners was the first project to be pulled from the archive. As of now, it will be TDM's second major production, with talks of bring on board a very talented animator to create the new company's first animated series. Perhaps even more important than the Table Manners reboot is Dark Matters. This short story series expands the Dark Matter Universe. You learn more about the Knights, Angels, mutants, Agents, and so on. Every month, there's a new short. In fact, one just released this past weekend. These shorts are eBook only, found on the Amazon Kindle app. They're too short to release in a paperback format in my opinion. If there's enough demand, TDM may consider a paperback release of some kind. The Dark Matter Universe will be getting a comic book series. This is actually my biggest focus for the DMU. I didn't really want to be writing. Either way, there is no set date for the comic. All I'm saying is that it will follow the novel's, albeit with more details added in. More news on that at a later date. Dark Matter: Code Red. It's out. There's a link on the literature page on this very website. It's available as an eBook AND a paperback. Check it out, as it's the reason that nearly no artwork came out last year, save for the "Fusion" art piece that can be found in my digital gallery. By the way, that art piece feature's two planets that are actually mentioned in Dark Matter: Code Red. Agaqin, read it. Team Dark Matter has two productions currently releasing monthly. I already told you about Dark Matters. Now for the cool stuff. If you guys remember Taylor Wayne Productions, you may remember that we constantly tried to run a regular podcast. Due to the partnership, I was butting heads with my partner. It was understandable. He wanted a 100%, professionally-done podcast, but there were usually scheduling conflicts. I, at the time, couldn't care less about the quality. We were starting up. It simply made sense that we didn't have top-notch gear. Due to all of that, we had two "episodes" that were just awful. So, things were tweaked on that end. Last month, we ran our first podcast. It was more of a test-run, so it was dubbed "Podcast #0". People loved it! Now, we had an issue with the bandwidth, so it was cut without our realization about five minutes before we actually said our goodbyes. The lighting was a little "meh" and the sound was not exciting. Actually, we had clip-on microphones, but I didn't realize they needed a specific phantom power source that I didn't have in my arsenal of sound equipment. So, we literally ran with just the camera mic. That camera? A ZTE Blade Spark. Personally, I had no issues with the show. The best part was that it was filmed live. The content flowed smoothly. Future broadcasts will have a run-time of 30 minutes minimum, though we may expand that time, as we clearly were enjoying ourselves. And, yes, the content will be better on the upcoming January podcast. We couldn't talk about Code Red or Dark Matters too much. I didn't want any spoilers. Now? We can talk about that stuff. First OFFICIAL podcast is due on January 27th! As a farewell to this terribly long update, I've include TDM Podcast #0 below. Enjoy! (And yes, you'll be hearing from yours truly a hell of a lot more this year!)
