Getting started in your career can really be a pain. Seriously, I was talking to my buds last December, we all had a house picked out, and we were planning to move in a month (January 2013). Well, I wrecked my car and have been without a vehicle since. Taylor Productions has sucked so much money out of my pockets. It really gets to me sometimes. Also, as of recent days, I had no place to live.
But what is life without a little pain every once and a while? I still have my life. No one was injured in that accident. My car was totaled. That was it. Now, sure, I'm in bad shape, but I've got an album out there, I'm about to have an EP out there, I love my music, which is all that matters, and my company is doing pretty well. I've got friends who care. One of them is letting me stay with them until Taylor Productions is making enough to not only continue upgrading our equipment, but also so that I can stop dumping ALL my money into the company. Perhaps take a lady on a date, or get my dream car? Moral? Even when things are looking rough, look at the bright side. Even when you don't see one, there is one. I'm not just telling this story for myself. It's for everyone. Always look forward, trust that God has got your back, and move on. There;s no reason to ever feel like you've lost the game of life...
Now, I solely work with Wolf In Vain. So, without further to do, I give you "Finale", which can be downloaded through iTunes, eMusic, Google Play, and Amazon MP3. I suggest Amazon MP3 as it is the cheapest of the bunch. In about a month to a month-and-a-half, Amazon will release the physical edition.
I'm in the studio now. Working on a song...more like...finishing the opening track for my new band's debut EP. This is exciting. It's got a bit of an odd feel. For those of you who are curios, this is thrash metal, not easy-listening, like "Into the Unknown". I'm back to my "roots" and ready to dish out the four-track EP and standalone single next month. And I tell you, if you ain't into some thrash, stay back. This stuff is FAST. Anyways, the release date for the music is August 9th. Keep checking back each week for more updates. Note that the new band has no title. Wrong. It does. However, I'm keeping that under wraps until further notice. But, like I said, keep checking back each week for more info.
"Table Manners" is a comic done by myself for Taylor Productions. We have the most wacked out conversations when we have company meetings at restaurants and we certainly don't do well minding manners. The comic shows our own manners and what the heck we get into talking about. The series literally just started, with only two issues out, each being three panels.
Been a busy week. I finally sat down and recorded a cover song by my favorite band, Megadeth. NEVER thought it would happen. It did. Coming soon is another song recorded this past week. Actually, the only thing done this past week was the mixing. Everything was recorded the week prior.
So, I'm seeing more and more emails everyday about what this new band is called, who's in it, when am I going to stop being an a*****e and release something for it. Chill, guys! August 9th is the release date for the stand-alone single AND the EP. There is a slim chance the EP will be a couple days late, but hopefully that doesn't happen. I had a bad reputation for that in Whine Or Live Fearlessly. The stand-alone only needs to have a special guest (as yet to be picked) to do a speech during part of the song. We're working hard at Taylor Productions to get this band going. These first few tracks are the start of something great. As for the personal life, well, things are shaky, but okay. Also, please note I'm trying to keep the things that come outta of my head onto this site somewhat clean. Notice I bleeped out the word "a*****e"? There! Again! Let me know if you catch one of these words so I can bleep it out! Thanks, guys, for reading! Love you all! |
